Dendritic opal is a form of common opal (showing no play-of-color) characterized by inclusions that display mossy or branch-like patterns. These inclusion patterns have also led to the alternate names “moss opal” or “mossy opal.” These 8 carat stones are a close match which is why they were made into earrings. The stones are set on a light, 26 gauge sterling silver back so they aren't too heavy for your lobes. The posts are sterling silver.
