If our pieces had names, this pendant would be called "Lightening Strikes!" The white veins in this deep blue, Sodalite stone look like bolts of lightening in a dark sky. The variety of silver adornments represent the electricity radiating from the lightening. This pendant is a bold, modern statement piece!
- Approximately 2.24 inches from top of the bale to the bottom of the pendant (60mm)
- Close to 2 inches at its widest (50mm)
- Sturdy 20 gauge sterling silver
- Decorated with a variety of sterling pieces
Fun Fact: Sodalite was discovered relatively recently compared to many other minerals, in 1806 by Danish mineralogist Hans Morten Thrane Esmark. This makes it a relatively young addition to the mineral collection. Not to be confused with Lapis Lazuli which has golden pyrite inclusions that create a sparkling effect, Sodalite ranges from deep blue to blue-gray, and occasionally blue-violet. It can also have white or gray veining.
