It sits on a strong, 20 gauge sterling back, and is set in "picket fence" type bezel. The combination twist wire and bead wire add to the deign and enhance the various shades of blues in the stone. This pendant looks best on an 18- 20 inch sterling chain, leather cord or neck-collar.

Fun Fact: The #9 mine is one of a group of mines, reportedly discovered in 1908. It is located in Lyon County, Nevada. The Turquoise was discovered when miners were looking for gold. It is one of the harder forms of turquoise today.
