Be prepared for many compliments when you wear this 60 carat Turquoise pendant. The stone is from the Nevada #9 mine. It has various shades of light blues to greenish blues with a golden brown matrix. The backing is solid 20 gauge sterling silver. The stone is set in a scalloped bezel surrounded by bead wire. The design is balanced out with decorative sterling "rain-drops" and 2 small leaves. This pendant is definitely a statement piece. It can be worn with casual or fancy and will hang best on a thick 18-20 inch chain or on a choker.

Fun Fact: The #9 mine is one of a group of mines, reportedly discovered in 1908. It is located in Lyon County, Nevada. The Turquoise was discovered when miners were looking for gold. It is one of the harder forms of turquoise today.
